Does the child………………?

• Seem uncoordinated
• Trip over a feather
• Spread on the floor like a blob of jelly (postural weakness)
• Stand in someone’s space
• Confuse symbols and letters +/x, b/d, 6/9
• Over react and avoid noise, textured clothing or being bumped
• Seek movement, oral or tactile stimulation and firm contact
• Move well but have poor balance or difficulty staying still
• Write poorly despite handwriting training
• Have difficulty drawing a person
• Be unable to jump or hop when same age peers can
• Has difficulty using scissors, opening packets,
• Has no sense of space
• Has difficulty coloring within lines, cutting to a line, tracing.
  

If so an Occupational Therapy evaluation is needed.
